CISO as a Service

Professional security leadership without a full-time hire. Our experienced CISO takes over the strategic management of your information security.

Threats and risks in IT are growing rapidly, yet not every company can find or afford a dedicated information security officer, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Often the function is handed, out of necessity, to an existing employee who lacks the experience and the overview. CISO as a Service closes exactly this gap: you gain the competence and accountability of experienced security leadership without having to create a full-time position.

What a CISO as a Service delivers

A CISO is not responsible for individual technical measures but for information security as a whole: from strategy through risk management to preparedness for an emergency. As an external CISO we take on this role in full or in part and cover the central areas of responsibility:

CISO as a Service Strategy & Governance security goals, policies Risk management identify and steer risk Compliance revFADP, ISO 27001, FINMA Incident readiness response plan, reporting duty Security roadmap prioritise measures Reporting to executive management

This also includes the selection and management of service providers and security tools, raising employee awareness, and, where needed, bringing in further specialists from our network.

Flexible models

We take on the CISO function in the way that fits your situation: in full or in part, long-term as continuous support or temporarily, for example to bridge a vacancy (interim CISO) or for a specific project. The effort is based on your actual need, from a few days per month to ongoing responsibility.

Your advantages

  • Extensive know-how from different industries and companies
  • Flexible availability and quick bridging of shortages
  • An independent, outside view of your company’s IT and security
  • Considerably lower cost than a dedicated full-time position
  • Access to further specialists, partners, and services as required
  • No dependence on a single internal person

Who it is worthwhile for

CISO as a Service is aimed primarily at small and medium-sized enterprises that cannot or do not want to carry a dedicated full-time security lead, yet have to meet growing requirements. The pressure often comes from outside: the revised Data Protection Act (revFADP), sector requirements such as those of FINMA, certification goals such as ISO 27001, requirements from customers and insurers, or the reporting obligation for cyberattacks on critical infrastructure in force since April 2025. A CISO as a Service ensures that these requirements are met in a structured and demonstrable way.
